Armin Van Buuren Live @ BMO Centre, Thanksgiving Weekend

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend. I spent my weekend eating lots of turkey and going to an event hosted by UnionEvents and Ink Promotions featuring Jochen Miller, Cosmic Gate, and Armin Van Buuren. UnionEvents and Ink Promotion hosts tons of events across Canada gathering many of the best DJs and song artists. The main DJ for this event was Armin Van Buuren with Jochen Miller and Cosmic Gate as opening DJs. The event was held at the BMO Centre, one of the biggest venues in Calgary. The price of the show was quite steep for a DJ event ($70 after service charge) compared to most DJ event (averages $30-60). 

The show started at 9PM but I did not arrive until 11PM so I did not get my full moneys worth but I still had a blast at the event. The atmosphere and environment at the BMO Centre is indescribable when Armin shows up on the stage. Everyone gets all pumped up yelling Armin's name and jumping to the build up of the music knowing that the worlds #2 DJ is about to step up and perform. Armin played a lot of tunes from his latest album Universal Religion, mentioned in one of my previous blog posts, as well as many classic and popular trance tracks.
